Guts: zodiac sign and birth chart

Guts has no canon birthday. Kentaro Miura's manga never gives one. Read from his personality, he's a Scorpio: intense, stubborn and slow to trust. He swings a sword so big it barely counts as one, he says little, and the few people he lets close are the ones he would walk through fire for.

NEBO's take

Scorpio SunRead from his personality

Sun CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeScorpio
Scorpio doesn't quit and doesn't forget. Guts picks up the Dragonslayer, a slab of iron too big to be called a sword, and keeps swinging.
Moon CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeTaurus
A Taurus Moon needs something solid to come back to. His is a campfire and a small elf who refuses to leave him alone.
Rising CanonNo birth timeNEBO's takeTaurus
No birth time in canon. First impression: a huge, silent man in black with a sword bigger than he is, walking into town like he owns the road.
Mercury CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeScorpio
Scorpio Mercury says little and means all of it. When Guts finally speaks up in the Band, it's blunt: he wants a dream of his own, not someone else's.
Venus CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeScorpio
Scorpio loves all in. When the Band of the Hawk needs him, Guts is there, and he puts himself on the line to bring Griffith back.
Mars CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeVirgo
Virgo Mars is tools and prep. Guts fights with everything he owns: knives, a crossbow, a hand cannon, and the right trick for each monster.

What canon does give: a man who keeps walking no matter what the road costs him. A Scorpio answer is to hold on to the few people left, and never let go.
