Professor Devera: zodiac sign and birth chart

Devera has no canon birthday. The books never give one. Read from her personality, she's a Cancer: the rider who teaches Battle Brief and makes her cadets see the living people behind the map. Sun, rising, Mercury and Venus all sit in Cancer.

Cancer cares about the people in the plan. Her class is where cadets learn the war is made of living people.
Moon CanonNot in canonNEBO's takePisces
Pisces Moon senses what the room can't say. For many cadets her class is the first place where war stops being abstract.
Rising CanonNo birth timeNEBO's takeCancer
No birth time in canon. First impression, Cancer style: composed and attentive, an instructor who has clearly read your file.
Mercury CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeCancer
Cancer Mercury asks the question that matters. One precise question, and a half-baked plan falls apart.
Venus CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeCancer
Cancer Venus is fair and warm. She treats Violet fairly and cuts her no slack, and no favors, because of her last name.
Mars CanonNot in canonNEBO's takeGemini
Gemini Mars teaches by arguing. She expects students to think, ask questions and push back.

What canon does give: an instructor who expects students to think, ask questions and see the people on the map. Cancer is the answer: war with a conscience.
