Father: zodiac sign and birth chart
Father has no canon birthday. Neither the manga nor the anime gives one. Read from his personality, he's a Capricorn, with Moon and Mercury in the same sign: the mastermind behind the homunculi, who plans in centuries and doesn't rush. The plan is exact, and an Aries rising makes sure nothing stands in his way.

No birth time in canon. First impression: a calm voice in a dark room and the unsettling sense that he has been waiting for you.

Capricorn Mercury is plans and structure. Every move in Amestris is a piece of one large circle.

Aquarius Mars works without a pattern. He creates without circles or gestures, and shuts alchemy down for everyone else.
What canon does give: a being who wants to become perfect. Capricorn is the long game. He sorts himself into pieces and files them away.
